By Thanking Our Hard-Working Nurses for their Dedication

The Bay Health and Rehabilitation Centers are pleased to recognize the hard-working nurses in each of its communities for their dedicated service to the Residents and Staff in honor of National Nurses’ Week, which is observed May 6-13, 2022.

During National Nurses’ Week, staff, residents, families, and volunteers have the opportunity to say, “thank you” and honor the hard-working and dedicated Directors of Nursing (DONs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Minimum Data Set (MDS) Coordinators, and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), who provide life-saving care to the Patients and Residents whom our communities have the honor of caring for.

“On behalf of The Bay Health and Rehabilitation Centers, I would like to thank each of the nurses for their service to each of their communities,” said Mark Ruvel and Izzy Weinberg, Managing Partners of Champion Care, the company that operates The Bay Health and Rehabilitation Centers. “Every day, each of our nurses work hard to ensure they are able to provide high quality care and services to the elders in their care.”

Ruvel and Weinberg said nurses have the awesome responsibility of being entrusted with managing the care of the loved ones of the families who have entrusted us with their care.

National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6 and ends on May 12, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. The theme of this year’s National Nurses Week and National Nurses Month is “YOU Make a Difference.”

Nurses make a difference as trusted advocates who ensure individuals, families, and populations receive quality patient care and services. Nurses make a difference by influencing and shaping health policy decisions that ensure all Americans have access to high-quality, affordable health care coverage.
